how it all began…

As a child, I used to browse through the articles on art and architecture in Smithsonian and other architectural magazines, which led to the fascination with Japanese and defying design and architecture. It was the emotional impact of the serenity of a space, mass and light combined… through the well thought-out details… or a gravity defying feature. From Arata Isozaki, the catalyst for this desire, to the machinist works of Shin Takamatsu… this was an inspiration that resulted in clean lines and curves dominating my early works, which eventually evolved into creating different styles of architecture and design as years progressed.
